Babylon Media annually hosts the prestigious Miss Kurdistan pageant, and the 2018 edition was a particularly remarkable event. On the evening of December 20, Sana Mahmoud from Halabja was crowned Miss Kurdistan 2018 after standing out among 13 other candidates from the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Region.

The lavish ceremony took place in Erbil, featuring 14 finalists who competed in front of a distinguished panel of local and foreign judges. This year, the contest saw an impressive participation, with 107 women registering. After a thorough interview process involving 84 contestants, only 14 made it through to the final competition.
